Nvidia GeForce 326.80 Beta Out, Increases Performance In Splinter Cell: Blacklist & Several Games

Following AMD’s example, Nvidia has released a new set of drivers for its graphics cards. The GeForce 326.80 Beta comes with increased performance in Splinter Cell: Blacklist and in several games for GeForce 400/500/600/700 Series GPUs. In addition, this driver pack sports a new version for Nvidia’s PhysX software, adds native support for 4K displays, adds support for TXAA under OpenGL and adds SLI profiles for both Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Batman: Arkham Origins. Tom Clancy’s The Division Is Officially Coming To The PC

And it was bound to happen. Ubisoft has just announced that Tom Clancy’s The Division will be coming to the PC. The Division is being developed by Massive Entertainment and promises to be one of the best looking MP focused titles. And to be honest, it was only natural to see The Division on our platform. Let’s not forget that Massive Entertainment was behind some great PC games such as Ground Control and World In Conflict. Games For Windows Live Service To Be Discontinued On July 1st, 2014

In case you did not get the memo with our earlier article about Batman: Arkham Origins’ DRM, GFWL is going down. And a couple of hours ago, Microsoft itself revealed that the service will be discontinued on July 1st, 2014. This information was shared on Age of Empires Online support page, however Microsoft was quick to react and re-edited that page. However, Reddit’s user ‘recawn’ has been able to capture the previous page that contained Microsoft’s message about GFWL. AMD has released a new beta driver for its graphics cards. The AMD Catalyst 13.8 BETA2 comes with performance improvements in Saints Row 4, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Final Fantasy XIV. In addition, frame pacing has been enabled now even on CrossFire systems and comes with improved performance in World of Warcraft, Sniper Elite, Watch Dogs, and Tomb Raider. Microsoft’s GFWL is going down… down… down. Capcom – a studio that has been constantly supporting GFWL – has recently switched over to Steamworks, and it seems that more studios will be following it. Namco Bandai is also ditching GFWL from its titles (Dark Souls II will not require GFWL) and it’s time for Warner Bros to jump on the Steamworks bandwagon. According to the game’s executive producer, Mark Rubin, the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature higher resolution textures than those of next-gen console versions. One can only wonder why is this happening, since almost everyone has been praising PS4’s 8GB of GDDR5. Did Infinity Ward hit a limitation or something?
