John Romero has just released a new map/level for the 1994 id Software release Doom 2, called One Humanity. One Humanity is Romero’s first DOOM II level since the release of the original in 1994.
Romero has created this map in order to support the people of Ukraine and the humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund. As he claimed, 100% of the proceeds will go toward this support.
The .WAD contains a readme text file as well as the external mod data. Players must have an original copy of DOOM II and a modern source port to play One Humanity.

Speaking of Doom mods, you may be also interested in the following ones. This add-on brings 26 extra weapons to the Call of Duty mod for Doom. On the other hand, Brutal Hell Royale is a Doom battle royale mod. Ashes Afterglow is another Total Conversion Mod that you can download. Siren is a total conversion that appears to be influenced by numerous games, such as Aliens and F.E.A.R. Let’s also not forget Bloom, a crossover between Blood and Doom. Why Doom 2 (my favorite btw) and not something more modern?

It’s probably because it’s what he’s most known for, and because DOOM II is easily accessible to most PC gamers and easily moddable.
I expected him to dare move past Doom 2, even if it was not the best for the cause, but i feel a bit like that game holds him prisoner.

Well here’s what I don’t get: I like reading news on DSOG because usually it’s fairly positive, pro PC gaming stuff that you just love to see. In general it’s just cool that there is a site that is focusing on stuff like all the random mods that people are making because it shows a level of enthusiasm that is very rare to see nowadays…

Now in my opinion most people who comment here are no better than animals and you guys should spend your lives in slaughterhouses just in the case there’s famine among the normal population and you could actually be of some use to society. I don’t consider myself to be “decent”, I mean I’d lovingly grind your bones into pixie dust but if I did that then that would mean one less idiot on the internet. That’s fairly worthwhile if you ask me. What I don’t understand is that people like you literally spend years writing thousands upon thousands of comments that infuriate the everyday user because you enjoy that but when you sort of wake up the sleeping demon that is inside all of us you instantly start getting scared and go around like “oh you’re not a worthwhile human being”. That might be true, who knows… but what does that make you then? You spend your time trying to get a reaction out of people and when you get an honest one you get scared, is that something a person with a logical mind would do? I don’t think so and for that reason I think that you could be the perfect test subject to test dangerous vaccines on: you appear human, you have the same biological structure but you’re actually a lot less which makes you useful in a scientific sense. Don’t waste your only chance at being useful to the species!
