Half Life 2: Episode 3 in Unreal Engine 4 cancelled, new Source-powered fan game under development

Back in August, we informed you about a prototype version of a fan Half Life 2: Episode 3 game in Unreal Engine 4. Created by Trebla Freeman, this prototype featured a simple map map and a working gravity gun. And as we suspected, this Half Life 2 Unreal Engine 4 fan game is too much for a single guy. Source 2 Engine Officially Announced, Available for Free to Content Developers

During this year’s GDC, Valve has officially unveiled Source 2 Engine. This May Be Your First Look At Left 4 Dead 3 & Source Engine 2 [UPDATE]

NeoGAF’s member ‘crazy buttocks on a train’ has posted an image from what seems to be a remade version of Left 4 Dead 2’s map on Source Engine 2. There is no doubt that this is our first look at Source Engine 2, however it’s not confirmed whether this remade map is actually from the rumored third part of the Left 4 Dead series. Underhell Chapter 1 – Source mod with 3500 lines of dialogue & nonlinear Levels – is now available

Mxthe announced today that the first chapter of Underhell, a Source mod, is now available for download. This mod has been created by Mxthe in collaboration with We Create Stuff and according to the team, Underhell Chapter 1 features 24 voice actors with over 3500 lines of dialogue, nonlinear levels, secondary quests and randomized loot.
