Top 10 Optimized PC Games Of 2014

As we’ve already said, 2014 was a pretty interesting year. Sniper Elite 3 – New Update Adds Mantle Support, Benchmark Graphs Show Performance Differences

Rebellion today announced that summer chart-topper Sniper Elite 3 is the latest in a small but growing list of high-profile games to include support for AMD’s advanced Mantle API. Released today as a free Steam update timed to coincide with AMD’s recent Catalyst 14.9 WHQL driver release, the Sniper Elite 3 update also includes a new Benchmark mode for both Mantle and DX11. Rebellion today announced Save Churchill Part 2: Belly of the Beast, a brand new singleplayer and co-op mission for Sniper Elite 3 and the second episode of a thrilling new campaign for its sniper game. Rebellion Talks Sniper Elite 3 Tech – Tessellation, Mantle, DX12, Multicore CPUs, Obscurance Fields Shader

A couple of days ago, we had the pleasure of interviewing Kevin Floyer-Lea, Head of Programming at Rebellion. Kevin shared some new details with us about the tech features of the Asura Engine, its Multicore CPU capabilities, and the ‘Obscurance Fields’ setting (that most of you didn’t know for what it was responsible for). In addition, Kevin shared his thoughts on Mantle, DX12 (as well as DX11.2), a possible new Aliens vs Predator game and the advantages/disadvantages of self-publishing a PC game. Sniper Elite 3 – Patch 1.02 Released

Rebellion has released a new patch for the PC version of Sniper Elite 3 that comes with various improvements and fixes for both the SP and MP modes. According to the release notes, this update prevents the occasional “dead but still-standing and unsearchable” progression blocker, implements various localisation issues, and fixes the animation issues with DLC weapons. Sniper Elite 3 – PC Performance Analysis

Sniper Elite 3 has just been released and Rebellion was kind enough to provide us with a review code, so it’s time to see how this new shooter performs on the PC platform. Sniper Elite 3 is powered by the next iteration of Rebellion’s in-house engine, the Asura engine. Asura engine was also used in Sniper Elite V2; a game that performed amazingly well even on older PC systems. And as you’d expect, Sniper Elite 3 is even more optimized than its predecessor.
