Metro Exodus sold 2.5X times better on the Epic Store than Metro: Last Light on Steam

Deep Silver and Epic Games have announced at GDC 2019 that the Epic Store release of Metro Exodus was a success as it surpassed the units that Metro: Last Light sold on Steam during its launch in 2013. Here is Metro Exodus running in 8K/Extreme Settings with 60fps on two NVIDIA Titan RTX GPUs in DX11

YouTube’s ‘Thirty IR’ has shared a new video, showing Metro Exodus running in 8K resolution, 7680×4320, on Extreme settings. In order to achieve something like that, Thirty IR used two NVIDIA Titan RTX graphics cards in SLI and used the DirectX 11 API (as SLI is not currently supported in DX12). Metro Exodus second update released, full patch release notes revealed

4A Games has released the second patch for Metro Exodus. This is a small patch that will update your Steam game version to 1.0.0.2 and your Epic store version to 1.0.1.2 (you can verify your game version by looking at the Main Menu Options or Pause menu). Latest Metro Exodus update significantly improves DLSS quality, comparison screenshots

We were hugely disappointed when 4A Games and NVIDIA implemented DLSS in Metro Exodus. Contrary to the synthetic benchmarks we had previously seen, the DLSS implementation in Metro Exodus was awful. Thankfully, NVIDIA and 4A Games have significantly improved it, making DLSS now a viable option for those interested in it.
