Version 8.2 adds 170 backgrounds and can now display all of them in full when using widescreen resolutions. It also resolves micro-scrolling on 54 screens that are 8px larger than a 16/9 screen. Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy IX is now available on Steam. According to the press release, the Steam version comes with new features, such as full STEAM Trading cards, high-definition movies and character models, new cloud save feature allows players to back up save data to play across other compatible devices, auto save function and seven all-new optional booster features.
