That’s hilarious. A new update for the PC version of Battlefield 3 has rolled out and guess what; it comes with that awful ‘Corrupted File/Memory [9808096]’ issue that was introduced some months ago. Since this morning, a lot of PC gamers have been kicked/banned from the public servers due to that issue, while others had to manually update Punkbuster in order to play the game. And you as you may have guessed, DICE is already looking into fixing it. Continue reading Battlefield 3 PC minor update introduces Punkbuster issue, DICE is working on it→

Let’s be honest here, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning doesn’t look as good as we’d hoped to. It has blurry textures and looks a bit flat in most occasions. And I’m amazed with the subtle – yet noticeable – improvements that Skyrim’s FXAA Injector brings to the table. The sharpening filter is ideal for all those blurry road textures and the ability to adjust the game’s saturation – and bring it to your own taste – is something that most games should feature as an in-game option. Make no mistake, this FXAA Injector tool is a must-have tool as the game looks so much more vivid with it. Download link and comparison video below. Modder ‘maikel’ has released a new CryEngine 3 video that shows off what ‘natural lighting’ would look like in a video-game. The modder has been looking at how light works in the real world and how this can be translated in a game engine and his research is designed to answer: a) How does direct light, indirect light and atmospheric effects work in the real world and b) How can this be translated into a game engine. The end result is great and you can view its video, as well as some screenshots, bellow. Enjoy! Continue reading New CryEngine 3 video shows off ‘Natural Lighting’ in video games→
