Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [July 29th- August 4th]; Blizzard’s artist experimenting with CryEngine 3

Today we bring you new screenshots from the works of modders walid-payne, ZeroNight, iSqueezee, ReVan1199, EliteGhost, Vanity Assassian, Tiesto, maximus22, and CrydaVinci. The highlight of this week though is the first image, a scene that was created by Thiago Klafke who is an environment artist in Blizzard. It’s great to see artists from other studios experimenting with CryEngine 3 and we hope that their companies will actually use it in a future game. In addition, we should note the two videos that are featured in this week gallery. CrydaVinci created an amazing CG scene that is powered by CryEngine 3, while maximus22 was inspired by Red Dead Redemption and created a ‘Wild Wild West’ level. Enjoy! Mass Effect 3: Leviathan Officially Revealed – Details Unveiled

It seems that Electronic Arts has mistakenly sent the press releases of Mass Effect 3: Leviathan DLC prior to its EA Summer reveal. Need For Speed: Most Wanted – Gameplay Trailer #2

Electronic Arts has released a new gameplay trailer for Criterion’s upcoming Need For Speed game.Quite frankly, we don’t understand why the company decided to use the same title (for God’s sake, there are now three NFS: Most Wanted titles) but, whatever. Anyway, this is a classic modern-day trailer with dubstep and various gameplay sequences from the game. It looks awful and will make you dizzy. Perhaps that was EA’s goal? Who knows. Enjoy the trailer after the jump! Continue reading Need For Speed: Most Wanted – Gameplay Trailer #2

Medal of Honor: Warfighter Preacher Story Video – Single Player Campaign Gameplay Trailer

Electronic Arts has released a Single Player trailer for Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Before hitting the jump button and start viewing it though, let’s get one thing straight – gaming studios should stop using CG sequences. I mean seriously, the CG cut-scenes looked phenomenal and after drooling all over the place, you get to see some actual in-game footage and you get disheartened by the game’s visuals. Ironically, MoH: Warfighter is a great looking game, but it’s clearly no match for those CG movies. Anyway, Warfighter is currently planned for release this October. Enjoy!
