The new Doom game will be revealed in about a month, and today a number of screenshots from the cancelled version of Doom 4 got revealed (some videos were also provided that are – unfortunately – now private). In short, this is the real deal. This is how Doom 4 looked like. As we can see, this felt more like a mashup between Call of Duty and Killzone rather than a new Doom game. Call us impressed. YouTube’s ‘Natalia Galantseva’ has shared a real-time video from a new map she’s been working on with CRYENGINE that will definitely give you some Doom 4 (and Aliens) vibes. This is really impressive and can be easily described as a next-gen scene. The funny thing here is that Doom 4 may not look this sexy when – and if – it gets out. John Carmack Talks About Doom 4: “id Software should do more things more often”

Today is Doom’s 20th anniversary and Wired has a long interview with John Carmack about this legendary FPS title. At the end of the interview, Wired asked John what was going on with Doom 4 and as most would expect, John did not reveal much. Doom 4 Is In Trouble, Being Rebooted For Next-Generation Platforms

Things are not looking good – at all- for Doom 4 and id Software as according to Kotaku, Doom 4 has already been rebooted. As Bethesda’s vice president of marketing and public relations Pete Hines said in a statement to Kotaku, Doom 4’s initial version did not exhibit the quality and excitement that Id and Bethesda intend to deliver and as a result of that, the game has been rebooted. Doom 4 – Pre-Alpha Version Leaked, Steamworks DRM Spotted, Gameplay Footage Unveiled

Doom fans, get ready for a treat. A pre-alpha version of Doom 4 has been leaked to the Internet, showcasing the first level and its tutorial mission. Contrary to the leaked artworks that we presented you a couple of months ago, this pre-alpha version is packed with a game world similar to the first classic parts of the Doom series (and not to RAGE). What’s also interesting is that the game features hordes of enemies, bringing back memories of both Doom 1 and 2. Doom 4’s Steam Record Updated A Month Ago, Official Steam Group Now Open

Steam’s registry is a piece of work. Bethesda’s forum member ‘BlackRaven117’ has been searching  SteamDB.info and came across some interesting findings. According to Steam’s registry, Doom 4’s records have been updated a month ago. Not only that, but a Steam Hub and the official Steam group for id Software’s upcoming shooter are currently open to all gamers.
