Square Enix has just released the highly anticipated third part of the Tomb Raider reboot, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Once again, Nixxes has handled the PC version so it’s time now to benchmark it and see how it performs on the PC platform.
Square Enix has released a new trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider that details the story from the previous Tomb Raider games. This trailer is essential for all those that haven’t played the previous games of this trilogy and want to jump in to this latest instalment.
In an interview with Venturebeat, EIDOS Montreal studio head, David Anfossi, confirmed that the team is working on three games. The first game is Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the second is The Avengers, and the third is an unannounced title.
Square Enix, Eidos Montréal, and Crystal Dynamics announced they will be working with NVIDIA to develop the PC version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the latest entry in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Tomb Raider series.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be officially revealed today, however Amazon has just leaked the first screenshots from it. These screenshots showcase some of the game’s environments, as well as the new 3D model for Lara Croft and some of her weapons.
In an interview with GamesIndustry, Square Enix revealed that Tomb Raider has sold 11 million copies worldwide so far. And while the publisher did not unveil any platform details, SteamSpy’s data reveals that almost half of them are coming from the PC.

Man, things are getting really out of hand. A couple of hours ago, Square Enix and Microsoft announced that Tomb Raider will be coming exclusively on X360 and Xbox One. And as you’d expect, fans decided to express their feelings about that announcement in, somehow, extreme ways.
