So good news everyone as Christopher Held has informed us about the release of the standalone version of their mod. This means that you won’t need any installed game to enjoy their little baby and as you may have guessed, it’s a freeware title. A couple of days ago, Ubisoft revealed some unreleased artworks for Assassin’s Creed. This is how Assassin’s Creed used to look like before release, acting as a sequel to the Prince of Persia series. Good news for Call of Duty fans as Black Ops 2 is now available for pre-order on Steam. Contrary to most other pre-purchases though, the one for Black Ops 2 does not come with any discount at all. Not only that, but the game is priced at 59.99 euros and is still 6 months away from its official release date. Seems after all that this now as good as you’d hoped to, right? Either way, it’s good to see the game available for pre-purchase on Valve’s distribution service, so go ahead and pre-order it if you are eager to this new part of this legendary FPS series. Man, that’s just sad. Risen was a great PC title that was not plagued with all issues that were present in previous Piranha Bytes’ games. SLI was working fine, there were not major pop-ups, performance was good… generally speaking, it was a polished game – for Piranha Bytes’ standards. Fast forward a couple of years and here we are with a really broken game called Risen 2: Dark Waters. Now I don’t want to be harsh, but I’m pretty sure that the multiplatform development had a major impact to the PC version. I tell you guys, it’s a really broken game. And what’s even more disappointing is the fact that the day-one DLC that was released for Risen 2 can be easily unlocked via the in-game console. Zapruder Pictures created an amazing short film that is based on Remedy’s Max Payne. Written and directed by Guillermo Fernández de Oliveira and Javier Esteban Loring, Max Payne: Valhalla is the best tribute to this classic third person shooter game. It has noir-style monologues, graphic novel panels, follows the events of the game so closely… hell, it even has a reload sequence. Now that’s just brilliant. So sit back and enjoy Max Payne fans. You are in for a treat! Continue reading Max Payne: Valhalla is an awesomely awesome Fan Film→
