Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Collector’s Edition are now available for pre-order. In addition, the Japanese company revealed that the game is scheduled for release on August 27th for both PS3 and PC. Bohemia Interactive has released a major new update for the Arma 3 Alpha. The most notable improvements in version 0.58 involve the new dedicated combat and stealth radio protocols, plus all-encompassing tweaks to lighting and audio. Also, Multiplayer Dedicated Server administrators now have access to a separated executable to host such servers more conveniently. Not only that, but Arma 3 now supports PhysX 3.2.4 (perhaps the first title supporting the PhysX 3 SDK). This update will be auto-downloaded from Steam, and you can view its complete changelog below. Electronic Arts today announced Need for Speed: Rivals, an action/racing game created by an inspired new development team. Need for Speed: Rivals is being developed by EA’s newest studio Ghost Games, who bring new thinking and possible innovation to the Need for Speed franchise in partnership with the expert racing team at Criterion Games. Built on the Frostbite 3 game engine , Need for Speed: Rivals promises to capture the adrenaline and intensity of the street’s ultimate rivalry between cops and racers, in a stunning open road environment. Slightly Mad Studios has released a new batch of screenshots for its upcoming racer, Project CARS, and in order to test you, we’ve included in this gallery an unreleased screenshot from Gran Turismo 6. Crystal Dynamics has released a new patch for the PC version of Tomb Raider, and according to its changelog, this patch comes with significant performance improvements in CPU limited areas. Now we are not certain about these improvements because we did not notice any at the start of Mountain Village (right after the attack from the wolves). But anyway, some users may notice those improvements, so kudos to Crystal Dynamics for at least releasing it. Electronic Arts has just unveiled – via the game’s official FB page – that the new Need For Speed title will be unveiled tomorrow. In addition, the company has also released a new image in which we can clearly see that… it’s a Need For Speed title (no shit Sherlock). Yesterday’s teaser image hinted at something regarding pursuits, so we can almost safely say that this is going to either be a reboot of Hot Pursuit or a new entry to the series.
