The alpha testing phase of Battlefield 4 is underway and as you’d expect, some gamers have already leaked a couple of gameplay videos from it. This alpha testing features ‘un-textured’ environments and is packed with visuals similar to those of the leaked MP screenshots of BF4; screenshots that were leaked a week or so ago. BeamNG has released a new, mind-blowing video for its next generation Soft-body Physics Engine, showcasing a work-in-progress alpha build. The video presents a lap around the Industrial circuit, some donuts, and then an accurate simulation of driving on ‘terrible roads‘. It’s pretty obvious that BeamNG is interested in building a racing game with its new physics engine, and we have to admit that it looks quite good for an alpha build. Ah, CD Projekt RED. Such an ‘old-school’ company. Well, Ubisoft is at it again. BehindGames has just reported that the PC version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released a few weeks after the release of the one for current-gen consoles. The game was initially planned for a simultaneously release on X360, PS3 and PC, however during this year’s E3, Ashraf Ismail (creative director of the game) confirmed that the PC version won’t be released on November 1st. E3 is over but Battlefield fans can look forward to even more news about DICE’s upcoming title. According to an email we got, the alpha testing phase of Battlefield 4 will start later today, and Electronic Arts has released the minimum specs for this alpha build. According to those specs, Battlefield 4’s alpha build won’t support Windows 8 or 32bit OS systems. We don’t know whether the final build will have these restrictions, but we do know that DICE wanted to release games that would be exclusive to 64-bit OS systems. The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition and Football Manager 2013 are the best selling titles on Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. As we can see, Football Manager 2013 is – once again – the best selling title in UK, followed by the Legendary edition of Skyrim, The Sims 3 and Simcity. What really surprised us in this week’s charts is the fact that Far Cry 3 has managed to re-enter and is spotted in the last place. Bioshock: Infinity and Mists of Pandaria have also returned, and are in the eighth and ninth place, respectively.
