Bohemia Interactive has released the first DLC episode for the Single Player campaign mode of ArmA 3 and in order to reinforce its launch, the company has released a brand new trailer for it that can be viewed below. The first campaign episode – which introduces the conflict between the NATO, CSAT, and AAF factions – is available as an automatic update on Steam. Spiderweb Software has announced that Avadon 2: The Corruption is now available for PC and Mac on Steam, GOG.com, and directly from the Spiderweb Software website. Avadon 2 is said to be an epic, indie fantasy role-playing adventure that features an enormous world.
New Dark Souls 2 Screenshots Released
Namco Bandai has released a new set of screenshots for Dark Souls 2 and although we’re pretty certain that FromSoftware’s title will be a great game, we have to admit that it does not look sexy at all. The texture work especially is as low-res as it can get. Keep also in mind that Dark Souls 2 is planned for a 2014 release and by that time, the visual difference between next-gen and current-gen titles will be even higher. Xaviant: “Going beyond four cores gives diminishing returns”, hints at Lichdom on next-gen consoles
Lichdom impressed a lot of people when it was showcased at AMD’s latest press event, and since this is a new game powered by CRYENGINE, we felt the need to ask the studio about some interesting things. One of them was the game’s multicore CPU support to which Charles Hollingsworth, Engineering Director at Xaviant, revealed that there were no significant performance gains while using more than four CPU cores. Battlefield 4 Gets A Day-One Update On The PC
DICE has released a day-one update for the PC version of Battlefield 4/Battlelog. According to its changelog, this update features various improvements for the PC in-game Battlelog, fixes an issue that caused a memory leak, removes the Cancel button for finished Missions, and makes “Play Now” for Squad Deathmatch and Domination to work as intended. Techland’s Hellraid Gets Delayed To 2014
Techland announced today that its upcoming game, Hellraid, will be released digitally in 2014. The game was originally slated for a 2013 release, however the team is currently hard at work adding new features and game modes for both single-player and co-op.
