On March 13th, CTS Labs published some security exploits that it discovered on AMD’s CPUs. CTS Labs got in touch with the red team on March 12th and gave it only 24 hours before going public. Obviously that was kind of fishy and a lot of people were curious whether these exploits were legit or not. And today, AMD released a statement, acknowledging and confirming those exploits, and claiming that it will fix them through BIOS updates. Wargaming has announced that World of Tanks has passed 160 million registered players, and that its major update 1.0 is now available, unleashing Wargaming’s high-end Core graphics engine exclusively for PC players. Futuremark shows accurate reflections with DXR, first raytracing tech demo coming at the end of 2018
Futuremark has shared with us some GIFs, showing some of the visual improvements that are coming with real-time raytracing. According to the team, real-time raytracing can render accurate real-time reflections of dynamic objects, can produce reflections of objects that exist outside the main camera view, can produce accurate, perspective-correct reflections on all surfaces in real-time, and they can make other surfaces (than mirrors) look more realistic too. NVIDIA GeForce 391.24 WHQL driver is available, optimized for Sea of Thieves
NVIDIA has released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce 391.01 WHQL driver is optimized for Sea of Thieves. In addition, this driver fixes an issue that prevented the NVIDIA Freestyle being enabled for supported games and some display flickers continuously after disabling and enabling the GPU using Device Manager, or when rebooting the system in Volta GPUs.
