Echoes of Oblivion Mod for Skyrim

This mod brings several features from Oblivion into Skyrim, including radiant dialogue, NPCs, and more

Oblivion and Skyrim fans, here is something for you today. Modder JobiWanUK has made a new mod for Skyrim that adds cool features from Oblivion. This includes things like radiant dialogue and NPCs that act more like they did in Oblivion.

With this mod, NPCs will engage in conversations when they get close to each other outdoors, in towns, and in cities. They will talk about mudcrabs, goblins, what books they’ve read, rumours from around Skyrim, and news from other parts of Tamriel. They will also discuss the weather.

All the conversations in the mod are random, with different greetings, comments, replies, and goodbyes. This means they change every time you talk to someone. Some voices will sound a bit grumpy. The mod works with 23 of the voice types from the original game, so most NPCs will talk like this, but not all. The mod uses the same lines from Oblivion when possible, but some had to be changed to match Skyrim’s story and world.

The conversations will also change based on where the NPC is and what race they are. For example, Redguards might talk about Hammerfell, and Imperials might mention Cyrodiil. There are also special rules – NPCs marked as spouses in the game won’t say random things or greet you like others. This will help make the game feel more real.

Right now, Echoes of Oblivion has almost 4,500 voice lines. It adds nine new NPCs based on characters from Oblivion. There’s also an optional pack that gives some of them better-looking faces. The NPCs will greet you using lines from Oblivion. Guards will say things about your stats if they are over 30, and they will also shout things during fights. There are also a few fun hidden secrets (Easter eggs) for you to find.

In short, Echoes of Oblivion makes the NPCs in Skyrim act more like the ones from Oblivion. If that sounds fun to you, you can download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, there’s also a video showing how it works. Make sure to watch it so you know what to expect.
