The Last Wish Project Mod for The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 has a cool fan expansion, based on the original book “The Last Wish”

Now here is something cool for all our The Witcher fans. A modder is currently working on a fan expansion for The Witcher 3 that will be based on the original book, The Last Wish, and shared an alpha version of it.

The Last Wish will be a fully-voiced, high quality recreation of the original book by Andrzej Sapkowski. Its alpha version features the The Lesser Evil chapter. This will give you a glimpse at what the project. aims to achieve.

As the modder noted, The Last Wish Project will be designed as an action adventure which compliments the original work. So, expect this to be really faithful to the book.

Now, since this is in alpha state, we don’t know when – and if – we’ll get a final version of it. And look, I don’t want to be pessimistic here. But this project sounds too big and ambitious for an individual.

The good news is that, unlike other ambitious mods, you can at least try it. So, go ahead and download its alpha from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video walkthrough. Thus, if you don’t fancy downloading it, you can at least watch it.

I think the best approach for The Last Wish Project is to complete one chapter at a time. Once a chapter gets finished, the modder should release it so that he can keep the hype alive. At the same time, The Witcher fans will have more reason to support him via his Patreon.

Speaking of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, you can also download some other cool mods for it. For example, there is a really cool first-person mod. Then we have the must-have HD Reworked Project. The Characters Reworked Project is another interesting mod that improves the quality of over 100 characters. Let’s also not forget this mod that lets you kill most in-game NPCs. Then we have this mod that overhauls the game’s combat with better animations, better targeting and new dodging mechanics. In July 2024, we also shared mods that restored the boat races and added 15 new quests. Plus, a modder has restored the reputation system that CDPR cut from the game.

In December 2023, we shared this mod that restores content that was cut from all previous The Witcher games. Then, in February 2024, we shared a mod that attempted to remove the fake “hero” light from the game’s cut-scenes. There is also this mod that allows you to explore a part of the world from the first The Witcher game in TW3. Oh, and don’t forget this mod that allows you to ride a Griffin. Or how about this Sekiro-inspired combat mod?

We also have some mods for those playing with Ray Tracing. In theory, these mods should be compatible with this TW1 Mod. The RTX Mirrors Mod adds proper reflections to the game’s mirrors. Then we have this mod that improves the fire effects via Ray Tracing Global Illumination. Plus, this mod fixes the Ray Tracing bleach issues.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
