Ubisoft has released the second episode in this four part, behind the scenes, series that focuses on the combat, weapons and tactics of Assassin’s Creed III. In Assassin’s Creed III, players will be able to discover the brutal realities of warfare during the American Revolution and find out why the guerilla tactics used by the Americans would turn the tides of war. Pawel Mogila, student at Jagiellonian University (Poland) and creator of Grimind, has informed us about the debut trailer of his indie 2D adventure platformer. Grimind is a 2d adventure platformer with a horror/creepy theme. Players take the role of an unidentified creature that wakes up in some caves. Naturally, your goal is to pass obstacles and solve non trivial puzzles to get out of the game’s scary environments. At the same time, players will have to discover their inner selves and who they really are. Grimind is inspired by games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Super Meat Boy and Limbo, and is slated for release at the end of this year, on the PC. Enjoy! YouTube’s member ‘seedyrom34’ has uploaded an amazing video that showcases a working ‘Back to the Future’ mod for Grand Theft Auto 4. Awesome, right? Well, we’ve got some bad news for you as seedyrom34 has not shared his mod (and won’t). According to seedyrom34, this is a HEAVILY CUSTOMIZED PC project from a die-hard BTTF and GTA fan. It took him months to tweak everything and finally get it working right and he made this video mostly to show what can still be done with this amazing game and to give other BTTF fans some information on how to create something similar. This trailer is the first in a three part series of ‘island survival’ videos in which the company gives us an insider’s tour of the insanity of Far Cry 3. Far Cry 3 is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft Shanghai, the minds behind Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and World in Conflict. Electronic Arts has released a new gameplay trailer for Criterion’s upcoming racer, Need For Speed: Most Wanted. In Most Wanted all the cars are open from the start, meaning if you can find it, you can drive it. The action starts in an Aston Martin V12 Vantage before jumping into a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series from a Jackspot. YouTube’s member ‘thone2008’ has ported the first level of id’s classic FPS, Quake, into Doom 3. thone2008 has used the Quake Mod to convert E1M1 from Quake 1 (using Romero’s Map Source) into Doom 3 Map format and the only things that are missing are Textures (but all the original gun placements are there). thone2008 then used Darkplaces’s HD textures to ‘dress’ the entire level. 2K Games has released a new trailer for Borderlands 2, that showcases Gamestop’s pre-order exclusive bonus content. Borderlands 2’s Creature Slaughter Dome tasks players with facing waves of Pandora’s creatures in an arena. Players will gain experience and gear, and they’ll be able to bring their gained loot back into the main game.
