CRYENGINE – Mirror’s Edge & MGS V Inspired Maps – New Community Images Sporting Next-Gen Visuals

CryEngine fans, today we bring you some new screenshots from modders and 3D artists as07, Fede3d, Fnitrox, Kristusea, Maximum-Dev, Novation, PianoPolish, ReVan1199, Wiktor, as well as videos from Stulle and OCASM and an animated image from snakeLK2. Fnitrox has recreated DICE’s Mirror’s Edge in CryEngine 3, while OCASM was inspired by MGS V and created a rainy map with clothes physics based on it. The other modders have showcased what next-gen titles could look like with Crytek’s proprietary engine. Enjoy! Star Citizen Looks Gorgeous, Showcased At A 4K Resolution

Our reader ‘Raphael Smith’ has shared with us some screenshots from Star Citizen’s Hangar Module, captured at a 4K resolution. Star Citizen has managed to raise $19 million and will most probably hit its $20 million funding goal in a matter of days. The Hangar Module is a standalone release that reveals where players will store their ships and collected items and access to the Hangar requires a package that includes game access. Electronic Arts has released the official packshots for its upcoming racer, Need for Speed: Rivals. Need for Speed: Rivals is powered by Frostbite 3 and is said to be locked at 30fps, even on the PC. Which sounds ridiculous but there you have it. Perhaps the low PC sales will force the development team to release a patch that will unlock the game’s framerate? Or will that event force EA to stop porting its racing titles to the PC? Well, who knows. Either way, you can view the packshots below. KUNOS Simulazioni has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming DX11 racing title, Assetto Corsa, showcasing a new Ferrari vehicle that will be included in it. This vehicle is no other than the Ferrari F312T. The 1975 Ferrari Formula One car design, won the 1975 World Championship driven by legendary Niki Lauda and Clay Regazzoni, and KUNOS Simulazioni presented its tribute to this legendary car, reproduced with great accuracy on every single aspect. Fan-made Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception In CryEngine 3 Gets Updated With Better Sand

A couple of weeks ago, we presented you some images from a fan-made project that aimed to recreate Uncharted 3 in CryEngine 3. Naturally, a lot of people criticized this project’s sand textures, which is perhaps why modder ‘PianoPolish’ decided to enhance them and release some new screenshots. The end result comes really close to what Naughty Dog has achieved, so kudos to the modder. Milestone and Vostok Games released new screenshots for WRC 4 and Survarium, respectively. Survarium is an online massive multiplayer shooter with first-person view. The events take place in the near future in the aftermath of an ecological catastrophe, in a world where only one man out of a hundred survived. WRC 4, on the other hand, promises to sport new features such as new lighting conditions, new weather effects depending on the stage, and a brand new Career Mode to put the player into real driver’s shoes. Slightly Mad Studios has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming racer, Project CARS. As usual, all shots show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode, using no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay (though some users have used third party injector tools such as SweetFX).
