Monster Hunter World does not properly detect the number of CPU cores, one main thread dedicated to anti-debug code

Modder Kaldaien has announced that he will no longer develop his Special-K mod for Monster Hunter World, stating that Capcom’s anti-debug code seriously messes things up for modders. Not only that, but the modder has discovered some pretty interesting details about how the engine handles and uses its cores, and these findings could potentially explain why the game is so CPU-heavy bound. DukeBoss and a team of modders have released a new fan expansion for Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem: Alien Armageddon. According to its description, Alien Armageddon is a mod for Duke Nukem 3D which adds many new high quality enemies, sexy NPCs, and a second playable character, all featured in an epic new adventure. SEGA Game Gear’s 8-bit Sonic Chaos gets an incredible fan remake, demo available later today [UPDATE: Demo available]

Now here is something really special for all our Sonic fans. A+Start has announced a fan remake of the classic 8-bit SEGA Game Gear Sonic game, Sonic Chaos. Based on the current style of 2D classic Sonic games inspired by Sonic Mania, Sonic Chaos updates the 8 bit visuals of the original and adapts a play style more closely resembling the classic 16-bit games. Gaijin’s Enlisted was running with over 90fps in 4K resolution with NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing effects

While Battlefield 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Metro Exodus target a 1080p resolution when NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing technology is enabled, Gaijin’s upcoming MMO squad-based shooter, Enlisted, was running in 4K with more than 90fps while using real-time ray tracing global illumination. Battlefield 5 was running at 1080p with “rock solid” 60fps with NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing effects

During a presentation at Gamescom 2018, DICE’s developers confirmed that Battlefield 5 was running with rock solid 60fps at 1080p with NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing features enabled. This is perhaps the first game that runs at 60fps with NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing effects as Shadow of the Tomb Raider had major performance issues and Metro Exodus targets 1080p/60fps for its final release. Metro Exodus targets 1080p at 60fps with NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing features enabled

4A Games’ rendering programmer Ben Archard has told RPS that Metro Exodus targets 1080p at 60fps with NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing features enabled. As Archard claimed, 4A Games is well aware that there are three cards that will support RTX (RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080Ti) and they will see what profiles they can get for each.
