The Mutant Factor is a new singleplayer campaign for Crysis and Crysis Wars. This a completely different story with a new set of characters which is heavily influenced by the Half-Life, Crysis, and F.E.A.R series of games. This mod is created by mckool and will be released in the next couple of months as it needs only one final cutscene and several minor tweaks to the last level in order to be completed. Northcape Studios released today some new screenshots for their upcoming Half Life 2 mod, Zeitgeist. Zeitgeist is a single player modification, playing in the futuristic 1930s of a fictional time line. In addition, the company released the game’s first video footage which shows the player leaving the escalators at Piccadilly Underground Station, catching a train and being carried into another station. Sony Online Entertainment and Overkill revealed some details about the upcoming, first DLC of PAYDAY: The Heist. According to the developers themselves, this new DLC will feature a new heists, equipment, characters and skills. In addition, it will include the “Nixon” mask as a lot of people have been asking for it and Overkill had it in production for a while. Gaslamp Games revealed that an expansion is in the works for their successful indie game, Dungeons of Dredmor. According to the developers themselves, the expansion is planned to be released before the end of the year and will feature more skills, more monsters, more levels, more items (crafting skills, weapon types) and more recipes. AMD released the latest Catalyst Application Profile for their cards. This new CAP provides great CrossFire scaling and resolves stuttering issues when running in CrossFire mode in Battlefield 3. This means that all those Intel users will be able to enjoy DICE’s little gem with HT enabled. Hell yeah. In addition, this new application profile improves the CrossFire performance in Deus Ex: Missing Link, F1 2011, Dead Island and the DX9 version of Batman: Arkham City. Electronic Arts released today seven new screenshots from their story-driven MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Star Wars: The Old Republic is being developed and published by BioWare and LucasArts and represents an innovative approach to interactive entertainment, featuring immersive storytelling, dynamic combat and intelligent companion characters.
