2018 is coming to an end and as you may have guessed, it’s time for our annual “Top 10 Most Optimized PC Games” list. For this list, we tested all the games that were released in 2018 (and for which we had a PC Performance Analysis article). Since some developers have released several patches for some of the games we’ve covered, we are judging their final 2018 versions. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is free to play this weekend, starting from today

Fatshark has announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be free to play for everyone on Steam from August 30th to September 3rd. According to the press release, during this period the whole game will be available, including the new Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC if you are lucky enough to be invited by a fellow Hero who owns the DLC. AMD Radeon Adrenalin 18.6.1 is optimized for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, fixes numerous game issues

AMD has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 is optimized for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, offering up to 9% faster performance on the Radeon RX Vega 56 and up to 10% faster performance on the Radeon RX580. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has sold more copies on the PC than its predecessor on all platforms

It appears that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a hit for Fatshark. According to its CEO, Martin Wahlund, the game has sold more copies on the PC than its predecessor on all platforms. In other words, in just two weeks, the team has managed to outsell the lifetime revenue of the original Vermintide.
