Back in August 2018, NVIDIA and Nixxes Software showcased the real-time ray tracing effects for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. EIDOS Montreal and Nixxes have released a hotfix for Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s patch 4. According to the release notes, this hotfix addresses the crashes when using the NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 or RTX2080Ti GPUs with specific driver and OS versions. These instant crashes really frustrated us and were present only when DX12 was enabled, so it’s at least great that Nixxes has addressed them so soon.
