Incoming new version of MaLDoHD Mod for Crysis 2; new comparison shots released

It’s been a while, right? Well, MaLDo is back and is preparing a new version for his mind-blowing Crysis 2 Texture Pack. MaLDo is currently working on a lot of little issues that plague Crytek’s FPS. The modder will add POM to some surfaces, will fix clipping issues, will fix some floating shadows and decals, and will add shadows to some specific places. Moreover, MaLDo will include new texture for fallen leaves geometry, for parking poster in Alien Vessel, for trash in Bryant Park, for marble and for a stone wall. In addition, MaLDo has released some old and new comparison shots that can be viewed below (on the left we have the vanilla and on the right the modded). Mass Effect 3 – Mike Relm ‘Remix Earth’ Video

Mike Relm has created a weird – and at the same time interesting – rap/dubstep/electronic video remix for Mass Effect 3. Now I’m not a fan of this music genre but it’s cool to see the game’s voices in the actual song. The video cut is also pretty good. Truth be told, this video will leave you with a <<WTF>> expression in your face. Still, this is something that you don’t see everyday, so go ahead and watch it. Who knows, you might actually like it! Mass Effect 3 Ending Is Fine So Get Over It

We were wondering whether we should write a performance analysis for Mass Effect 3 or not. You see, BioWare’s game has a lot of PC issues, and we should bring them to your attention. However, after finishing the game, we discussed about it and felt the need to talk about its ending and why we consider it a great ending. Yeah, Mass Effect 3’s ending is fine, so get over with it. Battlefield 3 – NES Edition brings a nostalgia factor to DICE’s FPS

A couple of days ago, we posted a Battlefield 3 video in which its creator used some Mario sound effects. It was great, but there was another similar video that passed under our radar. And it shouldn’t because it’s way better than the SuperField Bros. 3 video (at least in our opinion). YouTube’s member Omega52 used some sounds from Contra and Top Gun to simulate the game’s battlefield and the end result is fantastic. Check it out, it’s worth your time! CryENGINE 3 GDC 2012 – Proper Tech Trailer

Crytek has released a proper version of their tech trailer that was showcased in this year’s GDC. This trailer showcases the new features that the engine supports. Now I’ll have to be honest here. Although it does look good, it isn’t the Crytek trailers that have been pushing the graphical boundaries. In other words, we’ve seen better but then again, we’ve seen and worse too. Enjoy!
