We bet that most of you were puzzled while watching the first gameplay footage of Dead Space 3. It didn’t look like the Dead Space you knew and loved, right? In fact, it looked more similar to Lost Planet than Dead Space and that’s a bad thing in our opinion. What’s even worse is that Electronic Arts is aware of this change and claimed that it was an important change: a change that was made in order to appeal to more gamers. Continue reading Electronic Arts: Dead Space 3 will be more action-packed in order to appeal to a broader crowd→
Israeli Animation College Production created an amazing video, in which they showcase Battlefield 3’s Conquest mode in real life. This is really an amazing live action video as it looks quite similar to Battlefield 3. There are explosions, tanks, helicopters and… the running animation of the medic class is simply lovely. There are some montage issues (and the tank vs heli sequence could be better) but still, it’s an astonishing fan-made video. Kudos to Israeli Animation College and this video made us wish for a Battlefield game with this kind of image fidelity. Damn, next generation can’t come any sooner. But anyway, enjoy the video everyone! Continue reading Battlefield 3 Conquest in Real Life→

Electronic Arts has revealed – via Origin store – the system requirements for two of their most anticipated titles, Dead Space 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted. This comes as no surprise since both of these games were showcased, in this year’s E3, on the PC. Naturally, Need For Speed Most Wanted is powered by the Frostbite 2.0 engine and won’t support Windows XP. Ironically, it appears that Dead Space 3 will have lower requirements than those of Need For Speed Most Wanted. Imagine that, a third person shooter with lower requirements from a racing game. Man, how things have changed. The original Crysis was an amazing PC FPS title but it’s sequel was really restricted by consoles. Even though Crytek said – back then – that its development would not be limited by consoles, we said immediately that that would not be the case. Crytek afterwards revealed that the game was developed with consoles in mind and that’s one of the reasons why the nanosuit was redesigned (in order to be fully playable with a gamepad). Fast forward a couple of months and here we are today with Crytek admitting that Crysis 2 was held back by consoles and that Crysis 3 will offer some extra love to the PC gamers.
