Deep Silver has released the first set of screenshots for Sacred 3, an isometric Diablo-like action RPG that will be hitting PC, PS3 and X360 in 2013. Sacred 3 is said to have four player co-op on at all times, even if the player is not connected to the Internet. So, what happens if you’re not connected to the Internet? Well, you’ll have a trio of A.I. allies fighting alongside you. Each ally will have his or her own distinct set of active and passive skills and everyone has a small number of abilities to equip at a time to keep the team from getting overpowered. Deep Silver today released a trailer for the next installment in the Dead Island franchise which will be released in 2013. This is a CGI trailer, and is as good as the debut CGI trailer of its predecessor. You see, it’s all about the music, the emotional state of the characters, the desperation, the carefully selected camera angles, and the fact that a good day can so easily turn into a bloody hellish one. If only the game followed the horror element that is present in both this and the original CGI trailer of Dead Island. Now that would be a truly amazing game. But that’s not going to happen. According to the publisher, Dead Island: Riptide is a spin-off and not a sequel to the first Dead Island game. After escaping in a helicopter to the safety of a military ship, a furious storm hits and the virus suddenly spreads throughout the crew. Better late than never I guess. Piranha Bytes has released a demo for the PC version of Risen 2: Dark Waters that can be downloaded from Steam. Risen 2 is an interesting action RPG, although we expected more from Piranha Bytes. Oh, and the game has been dumbed down – compared to the first Risen. And the combat system is not as deep or polished as we’d hoped to. In other words, it’s not up to Piranha Bytes’ standards and you can try it for yourselves to see whether we are right or not. The Dark Eye – Chains of Satinav is an interesting 2D adventure game that has just been released. As with most games, it contains some easter eggs and holy cow at that sex scene. That was definitely something we had not expected to see, so kudos to Daedalic. It doesn’t really show much flesh, but that is irrelevant.
