Embrace yourselves; Crysis 2 Co-op Demo Released

Playing co-op with a friend is always an enjoyable experience in games and Fudsine and his team have been working hard on bringing that experience to Crysis 2. Crytek sent us word that the demo of this modification is out now and players will be able to oppose the infamous pinger of Crysis 2 in Grand Central Station. Seriously now, Crytek should have implemented a Co-Op mode in the first place as it looks great. Unfortunately, the future of this mod is uncertain as a lot of members have left the team. Fudsine stated that they will patch the with any updates they make, meaning that more maps could find their way in it. Let’s hope that this mod will actually see the light of day and offer a full-length Co-Op experience. Continue reading Embrace yourselves; Crysis 2 Co-op Demo Released

Return to Jurassic Park – New Mind-Blowing Screenshots From This Crysis Mod

Our dear friends at PCGames.de have posted some new screenshots from Return to Jurassic Park. Return to Jurassic Park is a Crysis mod for Jurassic Park with a fictional story setting on Isla Nublar 18 years after the first film. Well, at least that’s the plan of the mod team and although it’s clearly stated to be a Crysis mod, word has it that it will be moved to Crysis 2. What’s also really interesting is that one of the ‘compy’ images is actually a ingame shot. It’s hard to believe that a modding team has managed to produce such real-time graphics, so our guess is that it’s a PR trick and nothing more. Still, these renders look lovely. Enjoy! Crysis 2 is the Best German Game 2011; wins six German Developer Awards

In line with yesterday evening’s awards ceremony in Düsseldorf (Germany), Crytek won a total of six German Developer Awards. Long story short, Crysis 2 has managed to receive the awards for ‘Best German Game’, ‘Best Action Game’, ‘Best Graphics’, ‘Best Soundtrack’, ‘Best Technology’ and ‘Best Console Game’. While this is great for Crytek, we feel a bit weird as… well… you know… Best Console Game of 2011 and Best Graphics? We think not. Anyway, it’s nice to see Crytek getting recognition for their sequel to one of the best – and most beautiful – PC FPS games.
