Crysis Remastered PC Performance Analysis

Crysis Remastered is a game we’ve been looking forward to. Unfortunately, and as we’ve already reported, there are major issues with this remaster. For starters, its base version is the PS3/X360 and not the original 2007 PC version. Furthermore, the game still suffers from some awful CPU optimization issues, and uses the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Crysis Remastered can look gorgeous in 4K/”Can it Run Crysis?”

As we’ve already reported, Crysis Remastered suffers from some awful CPU optimization issues on the PC. The game uses DX11 and VKray extension on top of it (in order to support hardware-accelerated Ray Tracing), and uses the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Crysis Remastered suffers from single-thread CPU issues, just like the original game

One of the reasons most PC gamers wanted a new version – or remaster/remake if you will – of the first Crysis was due to the game’s inability to take advantage of more than one/two CPU cores. Back in 2007, Crytek assumed that future PC games would be focusing on single-thread CPU performance. As such, the original Crysis is heavily CPU bottlenecked, even on modern-day systems. NVIDIA RTX 3080 runs Crysis Remastered in 4K/Max Settings with 25-32fps

Crysis Remastered releases in a few hours, and LinusTech has just shared some initial performance impressions of it. Linus used the latest NVIDIA GPU, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX3080, and ran the game in 4K with its “Can it Run Crysis?” settings. Crysis Remastered runs with 38fps at 1080p on Very High settings on an NVIDIA RTX2080Ti

During today’s livestream, Crytek benchmarked Crysis Remastered on the PC. In order to measure the game’s performance, Crytek used an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card. Crytek releases an official 8K Tech Trailer for Crysis Remastered

Crytek has just released an official 8K tech trailer for Crysis Remastered, showcasing some of its new graphical features. The game will feature high-quality textures up to 8K resolution, Global Illumination (SVOGI), state-of-the-art depth of field, new light settings, motion blur, Ray Tracing and more. Modders are planning to create their own Crysis Remaster in CryEngine 5.6.6, first early screenshots

Crysis Remastered is officially releasing in a few days on the PC. However, it appears that a team of modders is working on its own remaster of Crysis in CryEngine 5. And, even though the official remaster may not be based on the original PC version, this unofficial one will have the original PC controls, as well as the Ascension level.
