Anno 1800 Review: A Quality Copy of Itself

Anno 1800 is an engrossing and fantastic mix of city building, economic simulation, and real-time strategy. It’s so easy to get sucked in to the whole affair, as the hours fly by and your empire slowly expands. Granted, there’s much micro-management required, and the game strongly favors those of us with a patient dedication to detail. Anno Online Officially Announced, Will Be A Free-To-Play Title

Ubisoft has officially revealed Anno Online during its Gamescom 2012 conference. According to the company, players will be amazed with what they have achieved with this game, as it has set the benchmark in visual quality and it delivers a full Anno featured experience for free. Today, Ubisoft announced that Anno 2070 Deep Ocean, the add-on to Anno 2070, will release on October 4th, 2012. With over 5 million sales worldwide since its first release, Anno is one of Ubisoft’s best-selling franchises and an award-winning strategy brand. Anno 2070 gets a new, huge update and 3 DLCs

Ubisoft and Blue Byte have released a huge update for their strategy game, Anno 2070, as well as 3 new DLCs. These DLCs are the Central Statistical Package, Crisis Response Package and Distrust Series Package and include new buildings, missions and skins for the game. Moreover, the update that got released features a number of fixes, additions and improvements. New Anno 2070 Update comes with improved Military balancing and Multiplayer stability

Ubisoft and Blue Byte have released a new update for their acclaimed strategy game, Anno 2070. This update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and comes with improvements to both the game’s Military balance and its Multiplayer stability, as well as various fixes, additions and improvements. BlueByte to the rescue; removes the graphics hardware identification from Anno 2070’s DRM

Oh boy, we were sooooooo annoyed when we heard Ubisoft’s response to Guru3D’s issues with Anno 2070’s activations. And although the company stated that everything was working as intended, Blue Byte came to the rescue and removed the ‘graphics card identification’ from Anno 2070’s DRM. This basically means that PC gamers will be able now to change as many GPUs as they want, without facing any issues at all. Well done Blue Byte! Ubisoft responds to Anno 2070’s DRM issues: ‘the game is indeed restricted to 3 hardware changes’

Just WOW. I’ve been following this mess with Anno 2070, but… you know… I thought that Ubi would sort it out. Shockingly, the company have given the ‘finger’ to Guru3D and pretty much every gaming site that wants to benchmark their title, stating that Anno 2070 is restricted to only 3 hardware changes and that there is no way to bypass this feature. This basically means that if – by any chance – you replace your GPU for three times, you will lose the game you have bought. What the F Ubisoft?
