As we’ve informed you, Black Box was considering removing the idiotic 30fps lock that was present in the PC version of Need For Speed: The Run and that time has finally come. Oh yeah, PC gamers can finally enjoy NFS: The Run with a higher framerate as Black Box and EA have released a patch for the game that unlocks it. And get this; the patch comes with the Signature Edition Booster Pack cars for free to all PC gamers. Hell yeah. Need for Speed: The Run Signature DLC – New Screenshots Revealed

Blackbox and Electronic Arts released some new screenshots for the upcoming DLC of Need for Speed: The Run. These new screenshots show off the game’s new cars, so make sure to check them out. The Signature DLC is currently slated for a December 20th release on PS3 and X360. No release date or info has been announced as of yet for the game’s PC version! Need For Speed: The Run; Black Box might remove the FPS cap via a future patch

One of the most annoying things in NFS: The Run – and one of the reasons we haven’t bothered with it for a Performance Analysis – is the fact that the game is capped at 30fps. Some users tried to unlock it but thus far, there hasn’t been any proper/working mod or workaround for it. All hope is not lost though as Executive Producer, Jason DeLong, and Producer, Brian Lindley, of NFS: The Run stated that they might remove this cap in a future patch. I seriously don’t understand developers these days. After Rockstar’s adventure game, here comes another one that is locked at 30fps. And get this right; this is a racing game. Yeap, Electronic Arts’ and Black Box’s highly anticipated Need For Speed: The Run is locked at 30fps. L.A. Noire can get away with this limit as it’s a slow paced adventure game but what were Black Box thinking? This is simply unacceptable. Need For Speed: The Run – Five New Cars Showcased

Electronic Arts released some new screenshots for their upcoming racing game, Need For Speed: The Run, which showcase some of the new cars that will be drivable in the game. So, racers will be able to get behind the wheel of an Audi Quattro 20 V, a Chevrolet El Camino SS, an Audi RS 4, a Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (C10) and a Pontiac Firebird Formula. Need For Speed: The Run – Official System Requirements Announced

Electronic Arts has just announced the official system requirements for their upcoming racer that is powered by DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine, Need For Speed: The Run. The minimum requirements are what you’d basically expect from a Frostbite 2 game but what really got our attention, was the HDD requirements. NFS: The Run will need 18GB of free disk space which is more or less what RAGE already requires. Does this also mean that the game will come in two or three DVD’s? Who knows. Electronic Arts released a new trailer for their upcoming racer, Need For Speed: The Run. NFS: The Run will be powered by DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine and looks really great. Need For Speed: The Run – More Cars Showcased

Need For Speed: The Run’s demo is almost upon us and here are today five new cars that will be included in the latest part of this legendary series. Players will be able to drive the Nissan GT-R SpecV (R35), Pagani Huayra, Lamborghini LP670-4 SV, Porsche 918 RSR and Aston Martin V12 Vantage. Need For Speed: The Run is slated for a November 18th release and its demo is coming on October 18th – though we are not sure if the demo is coming indeed to the PC.
