It seems that there is a market for action space games, as the freshly released ‘The Wing Commander Saga’ was downloaded 50.000 times in its first 24 hours. Nice number, right? Of course that might be due to the fact that it’s a freeware game. Nevertheless, it’s a huge number for such a game from an indie studio. The UK PC Retail and Steam PC Digital charts have just been revealed and at their top places we can find Mass Effect 3 and Dungeon Siege Complete. It definitely is a nice surprise to see Mass Effect 3 back at the top place of the UK PC Retail as the game was placed at the fifth place last week. Shogun 2: Total War Fall of the Samurai on the other hand has lost four place. Star Wars: The Old Republic lost one place, Football Manager 2012 gained one, and Skyrim remained at the same place. Last but not least, Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition has lost the tenth from The Sims 3: Generations. Man, Ridge Racer: Unbounded PC was certainly broken at its time of release. Alongside the Level Editor bug, the game suffered from a Multiplayer issue. Long story short, PC gamers cannot invite their friends in a game. This is a major issue and Bugbear has revealed that they are working on a new update that might hit Steam next week. With the recent news of an upcoming RAGE surprise, a lot of PC gamers started wondering whether they’d be getting that rumored high resolution texture pack or not. I’ll be damned, they managed to pull it off. TAKEDOWN, Christian Allen’s tactical shooter hit its $200K mark and will be funded. This is a real accomplishment as yesterday, the game needed around $40K USD to hit its goal. We are pretty sure that Total Biscuit’s video and Notch’s tweets were a big push, but to be honest, we didn’t expect to see it getting funded. Let’s now hope that TAKEDOWN will be a truly spiritual successor to the Rainbow Six and SWAT series and not a big… let down. In order to celebrate the launch of GTX 680, Nvidia held a party at San Francisco’s Mezzanine Lounge. In this party, the company showcased Borderlands 2 with its PhysX features that will accompany the PC version of it. As we told you yesterday, Team Meat were planning to announce a new Super Meat Boy. Well, the news came earlier than we have expected as the team announced that they’ll be porting their game to the iOS devices. Team Meat have been playing with the idea of porting SMB on the iphone for some time but could not get it working.
