Christian Allen’s tactical shooter ‘TAKEDOWN’ hits $200K and will be funded after all

I’ll be damned, they managed to pull it off. TAKEDOWN, Christian Allen’s tactical shooter hit its $200K mark and will be funded. This is a real accomplishment as yesterday, the game needed around $40K USD to hit its goal. We are pretty sure that Total Biscuit’s video and Notch’s tweets were a big push, but to be honest, we didn’t expect to see it getting funded. Let’s now hope that TAKEDOWN will be a truly spiritual successor to the Rainbow Six and SWAT series and not a big… let down.
As Christian Allen described, TAKEDOWN is a thinking-person’s shooter. The player that takes things slow, aims carefully, and plans their moves right will overcome the player who runs in with guns blazing. Close-quarters battle brings the fight inside, as you would see SWAT teams or SOF units taking down small numbers of dangerous adversaries. Non-linear environments allow for multiple routes and tactics and add replayability.
