Ah, the good old Crysis. Such an amazing game and although its SDK was released almost immediately, we haven’t gotten any noteworthy total conversion. There were some in the works that have been cancelled, while others have moved on to Crysis 2. So it’s natural to get excited with the work of modder ‘mrdavid’, the man behind Dark Energy. New Carmageddon: Reincarnation concept arts make you wish for a triple-A, next-generation Carmageddon game

Carmageddon fans, here is something special for you. Stainless Games has released some new concept arts for their upcoming chaotic driving game, Carmageddon: Reincarnation. Although these are concept arts – meaning that they do not represent the game’s look and graphics – we can’t help but wish for this kind of image fidelity from the actual game. A bit hard as the Stainless team is quite small but man, wouldn’t a Carmageddon game with these visuals be awesome? It sure as hell would. Enjoy the concept arts after the jump. New Flatout 3: Chaos & Destruction Update Released; comes with a game mode rename due to a reviewer

I am not sure if this is a joke or not, but considering Team 6 Studios’ CEO history, I can safely assume that it isn’t. Team 6 released a new update for FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction that comes with tweaks and improvements for the A.I. and the damage system. What caught my eye though, was the fact that the team has decided to rename the ‘Classic Mode’ to ‘Game Speed’ because of a reviewer complaining that the game was way too fast. I’m not kidding, this is included in the official update changelog. Continue reading New Flatout 3: Chaos & Destruction Update Released; comes with a game mode rename due to a reviewer

Fred Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive, believes that DRM doesn’t work and is a waste of money

We’ve been hearing from a lot of publishers that DRM is the only way to protect their games against piracy. Well, there have been a few developers that were critisizing that – Croteam and CD Projekt RED are two of them that actually think that a quality game will sell, no matter what – and here comes Paradox Interactive to state what we’ve been saying this entire time. DRM is not working, it costs money to developers and makes the life of those that purchased the ‘DRM-games’ a living hell. Battlefield 3: DICE banned this week a ‘significant number of BF3 cheaters’

Cheaters. We’ve played against them, we hate them. These people are the main reason we’ve stopped playing BF3 and thankfully, DICE has already started taking care of them. We knew that the company has been banning some of them and we are happy to report that this week, DICE has banned  a significant number of BF3 cheaters. This is reasurring – to say the least – and we hope that the company will keep it up. After all, Battlefield 3 was full of cheaters these past weeks.
