Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Update Released & Introduces New Maps

Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive that adds – among other things – some new maps for it. In addition, this update re-balances some of the game’s weapons, and overhauls the matchmaking for the Classic Competitive mode, adds a new feature section to the main menu and fixes memory corruption related to bots cleaning up their occupied nav areas. Only in Battlefield 3 Winners Announced

DICE has announced the winners for its ‘Only In Battlefield 3′ contest. According to the company, over 1,200 fan made Battlefield 3 videos reached our inbox, and the level of quality was exceptional. The three winners are [GDO]Aziimut, MongolFPS and jackfrags. [GDO]Aziimut’s entry was focused on helicopters and how they can change the events of a match, while MongolFPS’ entry was dedicated to teamwork. Jackfrags though was the best – in our opinion – as it featured lots of action, great scenes and destruction. This could easily pass as an official trailer, so kudos to the player for achieving something like that. You can view all three videos below, so go ahead and take a look! Mass Effect 3 Patch 4 Changelog Revealed, Planned For Release This Thursday

BioWare has revealed the changelog of Mass Effect 3’s latest patch that is planned for release this Thursday. This update fixes various issues, re-designs the Singularity power, fixes an exploit that allowed players to be invincible and invisible to enemies and another one where players were able to use rockets from other weapons. WRC 3 – Challenges Mode Trailer

Milestone has released a new trailer for WRC 3 that showcases the new Challenges and the Boss Battles that have been added to the game’s career mode. Created as special events, where the goal is to master a specific game mechanics. WRC3 will be packed with more than 50+ Official Race Teams, 35+ different cars, every track from the championships (including all of the Super Special Stages) and a completely re-designed career mode. New artwork & screenshots released for Vostok Games’ post-apocalyptic Free-To-Play MMOFPS, Survarium

Vostok Games has released two new in-game screenshots and a new artwork for its upcoming MMOFPS title, Survarium. Survarium will be F2P and promises to feature RPG and survival elements, as well as a post-apocalyptic atmosphere that will influence the gameplay in many different ways, mutants, underground levels and bullet ballistics. Survarium is in alpha stage and is currently planned for a 2013 release on the PC. Stargate comes to CryEngine 2 with the StarCry Mod for Crysis, Available Now

Good news for Crysis and Stargate fans, as modder SirMick and his team have finally released the StarCry mod for Crytek’s FPS title. This mod has been in development for four whole years and features more  than 1000 new objects, 2000 textures, 20 weapons and 1000 lines of  dialog. Enter The Freeman – Short Live Action Film Based On Half-Life

Half-Life fans, here is something special for you today. Ever wondered what a Half-Life film would look like? Of course and you did, come on, admit it. Well, following the old films that focused on the events that took place in Half-Life’s universe, here comes a new short film that features Gordon Freeman himself. Directed by YouTube’s member ‘chariotdrive’, Enter The Freeman is a film that was shot by fans over two nights in a cottage in the middle of Hollywood for about $3000. Total War: SHOGUN 2 Assembly Kit Announced & Launched With Steamworks Integration

The Creative Assembly, has launched the Total War: SHOGUN 2 Assembly Kit; a suite of tools that enables ground-up modification of the entire Total War: SHOGUN 2 product family. This release also includes an update to TEd (the existing Battle Map Editor), which enables Steam Workshop integration and the ability to create scripted single-player historical battles. A sample historical battle, custom-built by The Creative Assembly, is available now on Steamworks to give new modders a convenient starting point. Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [September 23rd – 29th]

The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria and Borderlands 2 are dominating Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. Guild Wars 2 seems to be selling well, as it managed to keep its second place in UK, and is followed by the freshly released Fifa 13 and Borderlands 2. What is also really great with this week’s UK charts is that only three The Sims 3 titles can be found in it. A sign of a wind of change? We can only hope so. Skyrim is placed at the seventh place and is followed by F1 2012, Diablo III and The Sims 3: Pets.
