Crytek has just announced the first DLC for Crysis 3. Earlier this week, Crytek hinted that players would be returning the tropical settings of Crysis 1. Hell, the company even used on of Nomad’s lines about the tropical setting. Nomad – tropical island – DLC… how could Crytek mess things up? Most of us thought that this would be an SP DLC – which could easily turn into something really interesting – though this is nothing more that a Map pack (packed with some additional modes and weapons). According to its changelog, this update completely revises its technology system, offers proper cross-platform MP functionality between PC, Mac and Linux, revises buildings to fit the new tech system and adds a Raiding and Loot system. Although we don’t know whether DICE and EA chose to develop this title as an exclusive game to Microsoft’s upcoming console, we do know that this game is currently under development and may get revealed at this year’s E3. Rise Of The Triad – System Requirements Revealed

Interceptor Entertainment has revealed the system requirements for its upcoming remake of Rise Of The Triad. Rise Of The Triad is powered by Unreal Engine 3 and will require a quad-core and 4GB RAM for optimal performance. Unfortunately, Rise Of The Triad won’t support DX10 or DX11, meaning that we can kiss goodbye tessellation. Let’s hope that Interceptor will implement some POM techniques that will be compatible with Anisotropic Filtering. Rise Of The Triad is planned for release in the second half of 2013.
