GTA fans, here is something for you today. Modder ‘Holydh’ has released a VR Mod, with support for 6DOF motion controls, for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Definitive Edition. As such, you will now be able to experience San Andreas in first-person mode and in VR.
Going into more details, this VR Mod supports all on foot movements, including crouching, and all vehicle driving. Plus, it has support for all cutscenes and flying vehicles.
Thanks to the 6DOF motion controls, you can fully aim with all ranged weapons, as well as for all scripted shooting sequences in vehicles as a passenger. There is also a functional sniper scope and camera screen with zoom in and zoom out functionalities. Plus, the mod adds specific recoil animation for every ranged weapons.
In short, this is a must for everyone who owns a VR headset. This will completely change the way you experience GTA: San Andreas. As such, I highly recommend trying it.
You can download the mod from this link. Do note that you will need UEVR Nightly Release 01042, otherwise, the mod will not work. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from it.
I also suggest checking out these other VR mods for some other PC games. Half-Life 2 already has a VR Mod, as do Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two. In September 2023, we also shared VR Mods for Portal 2 and Far Cry. Then we have these VR Mods for Resident Evil 4 Remake and Trespasser. Finally, you can play Hogwarts Legacy in VR with this mod.
But wait, there are more. In November 2024, we shared a VR Mod for Silent Hill 2 Remake. Plus, Manor Lords, World of Warcraft and Hellblade 2 also have their own cool VR mods. Oh, and let’s not forget the VR mod for Halo and Crysis.
Have fun!
