New Screenshots & Video From Real-Time Path Tracer Engine, Brigade

Hayssam Keilany has released three new screenshots from the Brigade engine, an engine for video games that instead of using rasterisation to render the image (like every other 3D game), it uses path tracing. In addition, Samuel Lapere has unveiled a video – and some new screenshots – from a new test, showing 1024 physics driven dynamic cubes in a street scene. China’s World of Warcraft Theme Park Opens Its Gates

I seriously don’t know who is crazier; Blizzard for not offering WOW’s license to this theme park or China’s organizers for not acquiring the rights? You see, a new theme park opened its gates in China and features big and enormous statues, inspired by Blizzard’s MMO. It also has roller coasters and it will cost you 30$ to get in (so waste no time if you are near Changzhou). And it looks epically amazing. In fact, this could very well be the only theme park I want to visit right now. Since I can’t though, I’ll have to simply rely on mere images to satisfy my need. Namco Bandai announced today that Ace Combat Assault Horizon: Enhanced Edition will hit PC on January 25th and in order to celebrate it, the publisher has released a new set of PC screenshots from it. Carmageddon: Reincarnation’s Engine Will Support Mega-Texturing, Early In-Game Screenshots Revealed

Stainless Games has revealed – in a long, long post on the game’s blog – that Carmageddon: Reincarnation will be support mega-texturing, the technology that was behind Carmack’s FPS, RAGE. In addition, the engine powering this new Carmageddon game is written from the ground up, will support deferred lighting, and you can view some early – very early – in-game shots from the game below. Carmageddon: Reincarnation is expected to hit PC in 2013, though Stainless has not given any ETA as of yet. The Walking Dead: Survival Instict – Release Date Revealed, First Official Screenshots

Activision has revealed that its FPS title, based on The Walking Dead series, will be released for PC, X360 and PS3 on March 26th. The game is currently available for pre-order on GameStop and you can view below its first – official – set of screenshots. In all seriousness, this game does not look like anything special and even though Terminal Reality stated that the trailer that was released a couple of days ago was from a really old build, we cannot spot anything noteworthy – visually – on these new, official shots. Nevertheless, enjoy the shots below and let’s hope that Activision will reveal a new trailer for it! Focus Home Interactive has released 4 new screenshots for Wargame: AirLand Battle, revealing a few of the game’s new units in the middle of what seems to be exercise maneuvers. In addition, these screenshots also show the battlefields themselves underwent overhaul, with increases in variety, detail and realism. The new version of the IRISZOOM Engine is able to display immense battlefields, this time with realistic and spectacular reliefs directly reproduced from satellite images.
