I really love this kind of videos. YouTube’s “PerfectHandVideos” has created an amazing retrospective video, showcasing the evolution of real-time PC graphics. This video shows off some of the benchmark tools and video-games that were released from 2000 to 2012, and even though we’re talking about a 2-hour video, we highly recommend watching it. Who can forget the Matrix scene from 3D Mark 2001? Or the Nature benchmark that showcased an Oblivion-like environment, something that most of us thought impossible at that time. The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3 is a video series directed by Albert Hugues in collaboration with Crytek and EA, created inside of the CryEngine 3 game engine. Electronic Arts has released a new gameplay trailer for the last DLC of Battlefield 3, End Game, showcasing the return of a classic mode that will be featured in it, our beloved Capture The Flag mode. Battlefield 3: End Game is the fifth expansion pack for DICE’s military FPS title, and will be out on March 2013. Our reader ‘Bryce Jurgensmeier’ has informed us about a new live-action ‘Splinter Cell’ short film, created by Devin Graham. This short film was inspired by the Paladin airplane that is included in the Blacklist Collector’s Edition (which does flies mind you). In order to remind us that Dead Space 3 is coming in a couple of days, Electronic Arts has released a new story trailer for Visceral Games’ action horror title. As the title suggests, this trailer focuses on the story part of DS3. Dead Space 3 is planned for a February 8th release on PC, PS3 and X360. 2K Games has released a new trailer for Bioshock: Infinite, as well as some new screenshots. According to its description, Booker DeWitt is headed to the city of Columbia. A technological marvel amongst the clouds, Columbia holds a dark secret, and with it, a mysterious girl. Nvidia has released a new video, showcasing the PhysX effects that are present in the F2P action mech title, Hawken. This video also demonstrates a soon-to-come PhysX feature in Hawken: APEX Turbulence. APEX Turbulence is a PhysX feature which uses velocity fields to simulate particle motion. Question now is whether Hawken takes advantage of PhysX 3.0 or not, and whether those PhysX effects will bring the game to its knees.
