Sergeant_Mark_IV has released a new version of his mind-blowing Brutal Doom. This new version features many fixes, better particles for fire and smoke, more gore, and new things like a system that rewards the player with bonus health and armor for doing vile things such as torturing enemies near death (a funny thing to do is to blow off the leg of a zombie, and when he is crawling trying to escape, set him on fire, or melt him with plasma gun). Gotta love indie devs and modders. Chain Studios has released Wolfram, a modern remake of Wolfenstein 3D that is powered by Volatile3D II Engine. According to the team, there are three versions of Wolfram available: European, US and Russian. European version has been cut a little bit and does not include any Nazi symbols. The language is English. It is intended for those people who can be insulted by such the inappropriate content, or whose country’s laws forbid it. US version is the full English version of the game with Nazi symbols, just like the original Wolfenstein 3D. And the last, Russian version, is also the full version, but it’s language is Russian. Electronic Arts has revealed – via Origin store – the system requirements for two of their most anticipated titles, Dead Space 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted. This comes as no surprise since both of these games were showcased, in this year’s E3, on the PC. Naturally, Need For Speed Most Wanted is powered by the Frostbite 2.0 engine and won’t support Windows XP. Ironically, it appears that Dead Space 3 will have lower requirements than those of Need For Speed Most Wanted. Imagine that, a third person shooter with lower requirements from a racing game.
