Doom 3 modded overshadows iD Software’s RAGE – New drooling screenshots

Let’s be honest here, we are really put off by RAGE’s graphics quality. Even with all the tweaks to avoid the annoying texture pop-in, the game suffers from really low-quality textures. Add to that the pre-baked shadows, old-generation shaders and limited dynamic lighting and you get a game that could be easily released several years ago. GSC GameWorld responds to STALKER 2’s always-online DRM

All hell’s broke loose and all STALKER fans were really disappointed when they found out that STALKER 2 would probably require a permanent internet connection in order to be played. As you may have guessed, GSC GameWorld had to act. Fast. And according to the game’s Twitter account, this particular DRM method was only mentioned as a possibility, not a choice. The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings – High Texture Pack

Even though The Witcher 2 has some of the best textures we’ve seen so far, modder TC1984 went ahead and enhanced them by using Gibbed RED Tools, QuickBMS and Photoshop. The end result is even more crisper textures that can really be appreciated when you are pretty close to them. This texture pack is currently at its 1.2 version which among other things, replaces some grass & moss texture files with matched colors. Battlefield 3 – MAV vs Helicopter: 1-0

I usually don’t like posting funny videos from various games, but this one shows why Battlefield 3 is so different from all those casual first person shooter games. Is an enemy helicopter giving you a hard time in the conquest mode of BF3? If so, just use some C4 on a MAV and take it down. RAGE PC – First Patch Is Out

Bethesda has just released the first PC patch for the latest FPS game from iD Software, RAGE. As was promised, this patch adds – among other things – some video options with which players can adjust their gaming experience. Mount & Blade 2 Announced

Now here is something that came out of nowhere and passed under everyone’s radar. PC Gamer has launched its digital magazine version in Steam and featured Taleworlds Entertainment’s designer and producer, Mikail Yazbeck. While introducing himself, Yazbeck revealed that he is currently designing Mount & Blade 2. Yeap, you read that right. Mount & Blade 2 is official and is already in the works. Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad – New Update Released

Tripwire released the latest patch for their WW2 military FPS game, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. As always, the patch will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and features major optimization pass on all maps should increase performance across the board, as well as graphical improvements to environments, weapons and vehicle interior.
