Free-To-Play Model is successful for Electronic Arts – Korean F2P FIFA earns yearly $100 million USD

Seems that it was no surprise that Crytek revealed their F2P plans for all their future titles. After all, Crytek is an EA partner and from what we’ve heard, Electronic Arts is currently quite happy with the F2P model. EA’s Andrew Wilson revealed that the Korean F2P version of FIFA is currently earning 100 million dollars per year. Kickstarter started for tactical FPS game ‘Ground Branch’ from ex-Red Storm Entertainment member

Back in May, we informed you about Ground Branch, an upcoming tactical first person shooter that is developed by BlackFoot Studios, whose goal is to fill a void in the style of games many would call ‘Classic’ tactical squad based gaming. DEEP Teaser Trailer – Source Engine Animated Film

Now here is something interesting. DEEP is a new animated film based in a post-apocalyptic Earth where humanity has moved underwater to stay alive. It is being directed by Shane Acker, who previously worked on the Tim Burton produced 9, and is being animated by the Ireland-based Brown Bag Films, who previously made the Oscar nominated short films Give Up Yer Aul Sins and Granny O’Grimm. The Secret World – Third Beta Weekend starts this Friday

Funcom announced that they’ll invite thousands of gamers from all over the world into the bowels of hell itself, in the third Beta Weekend for the company’s highly anticipated modern-day massively multiplayer online game ‘The Secret World’. Starting on June 15th at 9am PDT and ending on June 17th at 11.59pm PDT, gamers will be able to explore a wealth of new content that was not available in the two previous Beta Weekends, including the Dragon and Illuminati starter experiences. Hi-Rez Studios released two new trailers for their amazing free-to-play title, Tribes Ascend. Dota 2 gets a new Update that adds three new heroes

As promised, Valve has released a new update for the beta version of their upcoming free-to-play title, Dota 2. This new update adds three heroes (Chaos Knight, Phantom Assassin, and Gyrocopter), fixes a bug where bots would pick their heroes before humans locked in their picks, and comes with some rebalance tweaks for various characters. New screenshots for free-to-play Unreal Engine 3 powered MMORPG, Core Blaze, revealed

Gamania Digital Entertainment today unveiled new gameplay for their upcoming action MMO title Core Blaze with in-game screenshots as part of a private press event taking place in downtown Los Angeles. The event, “Core Blaze: The VIP Experience,” is being held at loftSEVEN Penthouse and will showcase an exclusive build for the first hands-on opportunities with the game. Additionally, the event features cosplay models, a gallery with concept art from Core Blaze and a large-scale crossbow modeled from one of four major game weapons, which was designed by a local Los Angeles metal sculptor with works on display at the ARIA and the Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas.
