GRID 2 Gets Some New Screenshots & A Trailer

Codemasters released today some new screenshots, as well as ‘World Series Racing Part 1: An American Dream’, the first in a new series of trailers for its upcoming racer, GRID 2. The video is narrated by Patrick Callahan, the entrepreneur and founder of World Series Racing, the fictional cross-discipline motor racing championship that runs throughout GRID 2, who introduces his vision for the series and its beginnings in the USA. In the video, Callahan outlines his plans for a new motorsports series and introduces players to two key racing clubs he needs to recruit as in-game footage showcases some of GRID 2’s American locations, including Street Racing in Chicago, Track Racing at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Road Racing at the dramatic California Coast. Success: SimCity running in offline mode thanks to a mod

Ah, the power of modders. Yesterday, we informed you about the opinion of Maxis’ insider regarding a possible offline mode for SimCity. Fast forward and here we are today with a modder, playing the game in offline mode for more than 20 minutes, and without having any crashing issues. YouTube’s member ‘UKAzzer’ has showcased SimCity in offline, though some debug features were disabled (as the modder didn’t have an actual developer’s build. Still, a few things did work – including editing the main highways anywhere – proving that an Offline patch for SimCity wouldn’t take much time or trouble. Since Nvidia provided both Sony and Microsoft chips for their earlier consoles, a lot of gamers believed that the green team will at least offer a chip to be powering one of the next-generation consoles. Well, that isn’t going to happen, as you most probably know that both PS4 and the upcoming next-Xbox will feature a GPU from AMD. However, what has happened and Nvidia is nowhere to be found? Truth be told, we were a little worried over this one. Yesterday, 505 Games announced that Sniper Elite 3 was coming to PS3, X360 and next-generation platforms in 2014. PC was nowhere to be found, therefore we decided to ask Rebellion whether this new Sniper Elite game would be coming to our platform and thankfully, the developer has confirmed that it will self-publish the PC version, much like they did with Sniper Elite V2. Modder Doomero has informed us about a new version of his Mortal Kombat mod for id Software’s classic FPS, Doom. As the title suggests, this mod brings Mortal Kombat Trilogy to Doom, meaning that players can play against each other via the Internet. It’s a really cool concept, though there are still a lot of bugs that need further polishing. Still, this is a great idea so make sure to at least view the video demonstration of this mod below. God Game ‘Reus’ Gets A New Gameplay Video

Abbey Games has informed us about a new gameplay video of its upcoming God game, Reus. This video shows how terraforming and plant creation contribute to building an ecosystem. Ecosystems are among the main gameplay elements in Reus and players spend a lot of time using all sorts of natural sources to create the ecosystems they want on their planet. TERA: Rising – Over Half a Million New Players Since Free-to-Play Launch

Gameforge announced today that over half a million new users have registered for the game since the move to free-to-play, which brings the total number of players registered for TERA: Rising up to over one million. The company has also opened six new game servers just a few days after the free-to-play launch in order to meet the high demand, so this move to the F2P model seems to really pay off. Ironically, a lot of gamers want to see a modern version of it and surprisingly enough, we may be very close to a Kickstarter campaign of a new Road Rash game.
