Super Mario Bros. Wonder Is Getting an Unofficial PC Native Port

Mario fans, get ready for some exciting news. As I reported a few days ago, an unofficial PC port of Super Mario Galaxy is coming soon. But that is not the only Mario game heading to PC. An unofficial PC port of Super Mario Bros. Wonder is also almost ready. The port is nearing completion and should be released soon.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a 2D platform game for the Nintendo Switch. You play as Mario and other heroes as you travel through the Flower Kingdom. Your goal is to stop Bowser and save the land. The game adds many new ideas to the classic Mario formula. Wonder Flowers can change each level in fun and strange ways. Pipes may move, enemies can grow, and the world can change around you. You can also use new power-ups, such as the Elephant Fruit. The game supports solo play and local multiplayer. With bright worlds, fun stages, and fresh ideas, Super Mario Bros. Wonder offers a new take on classic Mario action.

For those wondering, the Switch game code is rebuilt as native PC code before the game runs. It does not use an emulator, JIT, or interpreter. The game’s NVN graphics code is also rebuilt. A custom layer then turns its graphics work into Vulkan commands. On Windows, this layer talks directly to the NVIDIA driver. The same C++ game code is used as on Mac, but it is built with clang-cl for Windows.

As far as I know, this is the first Nintendo Switch game to get an unofficial PC port. Other Switch games with PC ports in development include Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World, and LEGO City Undercover.

There is currently no ETA for when this unofficial PC port of Super Mario Bros. Wonder will come out. However, you can find a trailer for it below.

In case you are into unofficial PC ports of console-exclusive games, you might want to try the following ones. Right now, you can download the unofficial PC ports of Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Crash Team Racing, and Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. You can also play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Majora’s Mask, Perfect Dark, and Jak & Daxter.

Furthermore, Brian Tate has brought the three classic SNES Donkey Kong Country games to PC. For our SNES fans, we also have a PC port of Star Fox. We also got a PC port of F-Zero. So, since we’ve already gotten a few SNES games, I’d really love to see a PC version of Jurassic Park with KB&M support and HD textures. Now that would be awesome.

In September 2026, we shared a lot of unofficial PC ports. So, you can download and enjoy on PC Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link,  WET, The Darkness, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Mercenaries, GTA: Liberty City Stories, Fable 2, Burnout Revenge, Super Mario Strikers, and Lost Odyssey.

And that’s not all of them. We also have the unofficial PC ports of Mario Party 4, Sonic Unleashed, GoldenEye 007, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Silent Hill, and Super Smash Bros. 64. Last month, we shared the unofficial PC ports of Gears of War 2 and Syphon Filter. In August 2026, we shared the PC ports of Diddy Kong Racing and Ace Combat 6. Let’s also not forget the unofficial PC versions of Wave Race 64, Blue Dragon, and Pikmin.  Finally, you can download the PC ports of Ninja Gaiden 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tekken 3, and Mario Kart Wii.
