YouTube’s ‘Beyond Dreams’ has shared a video, showcasing Battlefield 6 running at 8K with Reshade Ray Tracing. Battlefield 6 came out without any native Ray Tracing effects. So, by using Complete RT, PC gamers can enhance the game’s visuals.
Complete RT is one of the best Reshade Mods. It adds Ray Tracing Restir Global illumination, Rough Reflections, and Color Grading. It can also enhance the lighting, improve the Volumetric Fog, and add a new Dynamic Haze effect.
To get smooth framerates at 8K resolution, Beyond Dreams used NVIDIA DLSS 4 on the NVIDIA RTX 5090. My guess is that he also used Multi-Frame Gen. After all, MFG can smooth framerates, especially when gaming at such high resolutions (or when using Ray Tracing). In Battlefield 6, you can get 120FPS at 8K/Overkill Settings with DLSS 4 Quality and MFG X4.
Like I’ve said multiple times, Ray Tracing with Reshade is not as good as real, built-in Ray Tracing. Reshade uses only the info on your screen to simulate the Ray Tracing effects. Because of that, the results aren’t as accurate as the Ray Tracing used in triple-A games. Still, it does count as a type of Ray Tracing, and it can make a game look better.
Sadly, the custom preset that Beyond Dreams used is behind a Patreon wall. The good news is that you can download Complete RT for free and experiment with it. Most of you may be able to come close to what Beyond Dreams has achieved by manually adjusting the settings of Complete RT.
You can go ahead and download Complete RT from its Discord server.
Even though I’m using an NVIDIA RTX 5090 on my main PC system, I have stopped posting 8K videos. I know that most of you don’t like these videos. Still, as I’ve showcased, 8K can benefit those who own a high-end GPU. That’s even with DLSS 4 Performance Mode. 8K with DLSS 4 Performance looks better than 4K with DLSS 4 Quality Mode. Similarly, 8K with DLSS 4 Quality looks better than Native 4K with DLAA.
Anyway, if you fancy 8K gaming, you may also be interested in these other videos from some other triple-A games. For instance, here are Just Cause 3, GTA 5 and Crysis 3 running in 8K. You can also find The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Skyrim in 8K. Let’s also not forget the 8K videos for Red Dead Redemption 2, Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield 1 & Metal Gear Solid 5, as well as Diablo 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, COD: Modern Warfare, RIDE 4, Halo Remaster, Forza Horizon 5, The Witcher 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Monster Hunter Rise and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
