The creator of the Nolvus modpack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has announced that a new version of it will come out in 2024. Nolvus V6 will attempt to give Skyrim a next-gen treatment that will allow PC gamers to enjoy it with great graphics in 2024.
Skyrim came out in 2011 and thanks to mods, it can still look great in 2024. Yes, the animations are not that smooth and there are pop-in issues. However, for a 13-year-old game, it can look incredible.
To showcase this new version of the modpack, the modder released the following video. This video should give you an idea of what you can expect from it. So, be sure to watch it.
Now while there isn’t any specific ETA on when V6 will come out, Skyrim fans can go ahead and download its previous version. Version 5 has over 2000 mods, including complex parallax features and next-generation MCO combat. This is a must for those who want a single pack that has some of the best graphics mods for Skyrim. If you are one of them, you can download it from its official website.
If, on the other hand, you want to download specific mods, you can take a look at the following ones. This Call of Duty Mod adds to the game 12 new fully functional weapons from it. Then we have this mod that adds to Skyrim over 7000 voiced lines via AI. There is also this mod that adds to the game The Witcher 3 Ciri/Geralt Voices. Another cool mod is this one that adds destructible objects to the game. Oh, and let’s also not forget this mod that adds unlimited dynamic light sources.
There are also some big fan expansions for it. Wyrmstooth is one of them, adding new quests and dungeons to the game. This other mod brings elements from The Witcher games into Skyrim. Dragon Hall Tavern is a huge 2GB mod that adds quests, new places, an arena, and more. Then there’s Land of Vominhem, Apotheosis and Legacy of the Dragonborn. You don’t need 2000 mods to make Skyrim look great. Less than 100 mods is fine not only for visual overhauls, but also for gameplay overhauls. This mod list is ridiculous, and it looks like the guy who made it is raking in tons of cash just for making a collection of other peoples’ mods. I hope he’s sharing that with the mod authors.
Even 500000 mods won’t make it look great, it’s a Bethesda game, it’s doomed to look ugly, it’s a curse

Wrong, i’ve been there, last time i did was in 2014, did another jump back when the SE was released, and i hope i will never return to this game again, you put good textures then the very angular PS2 geometry will ruin everything, you put good models then the N64 animations will ruin them too, then i asked myself, why should i endure this sh*t ? I paid for a game not a fcking workshop for me to develop the game myself while the devs are w*nking
You can replace the textures, models, and the animations. LODs can be tweaked, you can add parallax mods, and in the end it may not even look like the same game.

How come Next-Gen is only associated with Graphics? People should be pushing for next gen NPC AI or at least next-gen particle effects and/or weather [Arkham Knight].
because tis not ai, its scripts and the more complex the environment the more confused the ai is, comparing far cry 3 and 4 ai to 5 and 6 is a good example of that.
