It’s a known fact that cheaters have been abusing Battlefield 3, and let us tell you that they are a lot of them. It’s good if you haven’t encountered anyone, but from our experience, each and every server has one of them these last days. BeerDeer Games officially announced its first game, Nyrthos, that will be an action RPG for web browsers, Anroid and iOS. Nyrthos is built on an in-house engine, in 2D, seen from an isometric view and it’s closed beta is scheduled to Q1 of 2012. Oh, and did we mention that Nyrthos looks really cool and has a Diablo II feel to it? Although we don’t know if it will be as good as Blizzard’s offer, we seriously prefer this game’s art style over Diablo III’s cartoonish look. Wolfire Games released a new video, in which David Rosen shows off the changes that were made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, Rosen added the ability to climb ledges while holding light weapons, while characters don’t drop weapons when switching AI/player control. In addition, jumping through plants causes ragdoll if greater than speed threshold and Joysticks are enabled only when their input changes. Enjoy the video bellow! You know what? Sometimes, I’m really jealous of the iOS devices. Why you ask? But because they get so many cool retro games that are pretty much must-have for every retro fan. And while watching Star Marine: Infinite Ammo’s trailer, I couldn’t help but think how similar it looked with all those amazing run’n’gun SNES platformers, like Contra, Jurassic Park 2, Power Rangers and Super Turrican. You’ve most probably heard that Diablo III could hit the stores in early February, right? Well, those were just rumors and speculations and nothing more. According to Blizzard’s Community Manager, Bashiok, Diablo III does not have any release date as of yet. We are all dying to hear more news about the PC version of Alan Wake, right? Well, we might have to wait a little bit longer, as Remedy’s Community Manager, Peter Papadopoulos, revealed that the PC FAQ for Alan Wake will most likely be released this week. As Peter revealed, a meeting will be scheduled with Ozz this week and they’ll try to knock out most of the FAQ. This basically means that the FAQ could be ready either this or next week. The Indie Stone released a new video from the latest version of Project Zomboid. This video shows off some new, game-changing features that will be implemented, like moveable furniture and escape ropes. Project Zomboid is a retro-isometric style indie game with plenty of zombie insides thrown in for good measure and a massive city. We know that Project CARS look lovely in screenshots, but how does it look in motion? Well, Slightly Mad Studios released a new build for the game and YT member ‘markao05’ decided to upload a video, in which he drives the Asano LM. This video shows off the new set of physics that were implemented in the game’s latest build and my God does it look sexy. The attention to detail – in the cockpit – is also mind-blowing. Just look at the ‘switches physics’. Project CARS looks amazing and 2012 will definitely be an incredible year for all PC racing sim fans!
