Ubisoft has released a new update for the PC version of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Before jumping around like crazy little rabbits, know that the resolution bug has not been fixed yet. Now this. This is F’ing brilliant. This is how game trailers should be made. YouTube’s member ‘Jimmie Russell’ created an amazing fan-made trailer for Ubisoft’s upcoming FPS title, Far Cry 3. Obviously, Russell got tired of all the dubstep music that accompanies the latest game trailers and decided to dub a scene from Far Cry 3’s E3 demo. Amazon UK seems to have leaked the release date of Splinter Cell: Blacklist. According to the UK retailer, Blacklist is currently slated for a March 29th, 2013 European release and an April 1st North American release on PC, X360 and PS3. In addition, Amazon has leaked the boxarts of the game that can be viewed below. It’s worth noting that the March release date might change, especially since the online shop has the PC version coming alongside the console versions. We know Ubisoft, therefore we can already expect a slight delay for the PC version. Still, we can hope that this game will hit all platforms simultaneously. Great news for Assassin’s Creed fans as Michael Fassbender, the man behind some major roles in 300, Xmen: First Class and Prometheus, will produce and star in a movie adaptation of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed. As you already know, the game’s storyline follows Desmond who learns that he is a descendant of famous assassins after being kidnapped by the Knights Templar. Although we don’t know more details about it, we can expect to see Fassbender reprising both Desmond and his ancestor. And given how famous he is, we kind of expect to see Ezio as Desmond’s descendant. Man, how things have changed. Back in the days, Ghost Recon was a tactical FPS franchise that took place in large, outdoor environments. Fast forward a couple of years and here we are today with a third-person action game that features minimal squad elements and feels more like a Splinter Cell than a Ghost Recon title. Ironic but as you may have heard, this is not the Ghost Recon you knew and fell in love with. In fact, the PC versions of the GRAW games is way more tactical than this last offering, and you do know that GRAW was already a dumbed down version of Ghost Recon.
