Mario fans, get ready for a treat. Kaze Emanuar has been working on an unofficial fan-made sequel to Super Mario 64. This game is called SM64: Last Impact and is basically a hack for Super Mario 64, featuring 130 stars, 12 powerups, many new bosses and a large variety of completely new levels, and is available for download right now. Super Mario 64 HD Unity Remake – New Version Sports HDR, Specular Bump Mapping & Improved Lighting

A couple of days ago, we informed you about a fan-made remake of the first level from Super Mario 64 in the Unity Engine. Reddit’s member ‘varietygamer‘ has experimented with its source code and released a new overhauled version of it. This new version packs improved lighting and shadows, HDR + Depth of Field + Edge Shading, Volumetric Clouds, Specular Bump mapping on most textures and high resolution landscape textures. Roystan Ross has recreated the first level of Super Mario 64 in the Unity Engine, and has released it for free to everyone. Yeap, you can actually play this recreation, something that is undoubtedly cool. What’s even more amazing is that this level is playable in your browser, meaning that you won’t have to download anything at all (though there is still an option for a desktop version in case you want one). Super Mario 64 Fan Remake is described as a ‘not for profit project being developed by a team of individuals passionate about the magic of the original game.’ It looks beautiful, so make sure to give this video a go. Here Is Super Mario 64 In First Person Mode With Oculus Rift Support

Super Mario 64 is considered one of the best games of all time. Hell, even Valve’s Gabe Newell loves it. And today we bring you something really special. YouTube’s member ‘Chadtronic’ has managed to run the game – via the Dolphin emulator – in first person mode with Oculus Rift support. Alongside Dolphin, Chadtronic used TriDef3D and XPadder. What’s really great is that there are no major issues or bugs while playing Super Mario 64 in FP with Oculus Rift, so make sure to watch the video! Super Mario 64 – Someone Is Remaking It In Blender Game Engine, Looks Incredible

Super Mario 64 is considered one of the best video games of all time. Hell, even Gabe Newell likes it. But let’s all agree on something; the N64 version looks dated. Well, while Nintendo does not plan to remake it, YouTube’s member ‘aryoksini’ is working on a fan-made remake of it, powered by the Blender Game Engine.
