Sony Online Entertainment has released the first screenshots of its upcoming MMORPG, EverQuest Next. Although the company did not reveal more details about it, it has shared a number of videos that can be viewed below. Sony Online Entertainment has released some stunning screenshots and a brand new video to show off the Nexus Battle Island for Planetside 2. The video showcases the huge indoor battle areas, the “ice cave” action, the power of ambushes throughout Frozen Canyon, tank battles and much more. Sony Online Entertainment has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming free-to-play MMORPG, Dragon’s Prophet. Set in a realm where dragons roam the land, sea and air, the game lets players align and battle a variety of dragons as they work to restore order to the land from the evil Black Dragon that has escaped his eternal prison, and is more dangerous than ever. Dragon’s Prophet promises to feature an action-based combat system that gives players visceral battle action gameplay, and is currently under a closed beta phase. Enjoy! Nvidia has released a new trailer for PlanetSide 2, showcasing the new PhysX effects that were introduced to it. These hardware-accelerated PhysX effects are said to increase the realism and fidelity of several game elements, adding to the spectacle and drawing players deeper into the action. Particle PhysX effects provide a more immersive experience for the game by adding particles that collide with the environment and litter the environment during battles. Remember Bullet Run? What was that? No you say. Well, don’t worry as you didn’t miss much. Bullet Run was Sony Online Entertainment’s F2P MMOFPS that promised to bring together the elements of the FPS genre with unique levels of immersion and character progression. Sony Online Entertainment has announced that a new, massive, update for its PC exclusive F2P title, Planetside 2, will be released on January 31st. According to the development team, this patch will address a lot of issues that have been reported by its community, including low performance on low-end GPUs, XP enhancements and the inclusion of new spawn buildings with more exits.
