Quantum Break has just been released on Steam and it appears that this particular version runs way better on NVIDIA’s hardware than its DX12 brother. Quantum Break – Official Steam requirements revealed, will be DX11-only, will not support mGPU systems

Remedy has revealed the official PC requirements for the Steam version of Quantum Break. According to them, the Steam version of Quantum Break will only support DX11. Yeap, instead of supporting both APIs, Remedy decided to completely abandon the DX12 API in favour of the DX11 one (at least for the Steam version of Quantum Break). This basically means that the Win10 version of Quantum Break will NOT receive a patch to support DX11. Quantum Break – Steam version slightly delayed, now planned for a September 29th release

THQ Nordic announced today that both the retail and the Steam versions of Quantum Break have been delayed to September 29th. The game was meant to be released on September 14th, however THQ Nordic needed some additional time for mastering and manufacturing the Quantum Break – Timeless Collector’s Edition. Quantum Break – Win10 version will not receive any new patches, DX11 support unlikely coming to it

Yesterday, we informed you about Quantum Break coming to Steam. This Steam version will be a Win32 application and will support both DX11 and DX12. Naturally, we wondered whether Remedy would add support for DX11 in Quantum Break’s Win10 version (that is currently sold via Windows Store). Quantum Break – New patch adds G-Sync/FreeSync support, removes CPU limitation

Remedy has released a new patch for the PC version of Quantum Break. According to the changelog, this patch adds support for disabling V-sync (in other words, it adds support for G-Sync and FreeSync monitors), packs general fixes, and removes the SSE4.2, SSE4.1, SSSE3 limitation. Quantum Break – New PC Patch Live – Includes Options To Disable Upscaling & Film Grain

Remedy has released a new patch for the PC version of Quantum Break. This patch is 27GB in size and no, we are not joking. While Remedy has not revealed its release notes as of yet, we can confirm that the team has implemented an option to disable the game’s upscaling tech that was also used in its Xbox One version.
